Diamond Associates, established in 1981, by ArLyne Diamond, Ph.D. offers consulting and counseling services to individuals, groups, and organizations over a wide variety of industries. Her clients range from small professional practices to corporations and large government agencies. Dr. Diamond is a noted public speaker whose topics include a wide selection of workplace subjects that are practical as well as motivational.

Specializing in people and processes in the workplace, Dr. Diamond helps her clients get the most out of themselves and others through personal counseling, group workshops, public speaking, education, and training.

All of her work is individually customized based on the client's needs and time. Dr. Diamond is known for valuable and sensible advice which clients are able to immediately implement to increase their effectiveness. She is known to "cleave to the essence of a problem." Of particular importance in today's global economy, focused on technical competence, are her workshops on soft skills - and management of people.

People Skills - Soft Skills

Especially today, when most workers are educated and have the freedom to move from job to job, how we treat each other, and in particular how managers manage people is critically important to the success of any workplace. Dr. Diamond teaches how to select, retain, manage, and motivate so that you are obtaining the most loyal, creative and productive staff. The cultural and behavioral differences and expectations from people of other countries often gets in the way of cooperative team play. With her assistance, people from vastly different backgrounds learn how to understand and work with each other.

Dr. Diamond also teaches communication, presentation, persuasion and negotiation as well as how to enhance your professional image. Conflict and compliance issues, such as discrimination and harassment are also addressed in her unique and "people-friendly" manner.

Management & Leadership

CEOs and top executives work with her individually to improve their leadership, role-modeling, executive team utilization and board skills. Managers at all levels learn how to effectively manage people, programs, products, and processes. Dr. Diamond teaches them practical tactics for accountability, motivation, time and goal management, performance appraisals, compliance issues, conflict resolution, team development, interviewing, etc. New CEO's and those on the fast track for promotion use her as their strategic advisor and sounding board.

Her talks at conferences and large meetings energize and motivate her audiences. Participants at all levels within the organization find her stimulating and interesting.

Professional & Career Development

Dr. Diamond balances an organization's succession planning needs with each employee's desires for career development. Individual corporate clients who have advanced from low management positions to Senior Vice-President and then CEO of their own companies have called her their "secret weapon" to their success.

Marketing - of Services and Professional Practices

Professionals and service providers from many different disciplines call upon Dr. Diamond to help them improve their business, employee relations, customer service, marketing and sales strategies. She has taught service marketing, is writing a series of books called "The Business of the Profession" and has helped many professionals significantly improve their private practices and find some calm and balance in their lives as well.

Boards and Committees of Associations, Not-for-Profits, Religious Organizations, Corporations and Government Agencies

Dr. Diamond's workshops have both cognitive and experiential components, Board members learn their roles and responsibilities as well as how to work effectively with each other, as well as with teams and volunteers. Dr. Diamond often utilizes sections from her recently published board training manual:

Training Your Board of Directors - A Manual for the CEOs, Board Members, Administrators and Executives of Corporations, Associations, Non-Profit and Religious Organizations. (With a special section on the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, which raises the standards for corporate governance, even if you are not legally bound by it. These are customized based on input from management as well as staff enabling people to work more productively, creatively, easier and smarter. Start-ups utilize these services to develop road maps, polices and procedures for their new staff.
